NOAA-16 AVHRR channel 3B to 3A Switching >13 and 19 July, 2003

THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS WILL OCCUR IN ORDER TO MAKE A "SCENE" COMPARISON 
OF AVHRR AND A CALIBRATED RADIOMETER (MODIS).  THE LAC DATA BEING SIMILAR 
TO THE MODIS FOV IS THE REASON FOR THE SWITCH.

Details/Specifics of Change:
AVHRR channel 3A will be selected on NOAA-16 over part of the polar region twice this July. 
The tests will be approx. 5-10 minutes long and encompass the region of 65 degrees north (magnetic) 
to the peak of the orbit ( where ascending turns into desending). These two tests are scheduled to 
occur on July 13th, and July 19th.
